Slide and Wave Area

Flounder arround in the water, swim, jump, glide, and play – the Altmühltherme offers you various possibilities to enjoy your stay – for the whole family.

An extraordinary water experience is waiting for you inside the Wave Basin. Enjoy the big waves like on the beach. Jump in and let the waves take you out.

The wave machine produces mighty waves which are up to one metre. The waves are in use from Friday to Sunday and on Bavarian holidays.

On weekdays the basin is separated in swimmers and non swimmers. A truck-type wall can separate the basin for sport competitions.

Header, sumersault or freestyle – every Thursday from
14-21 o’clock you can show your moves and practice your skills. 1-, 3-, and 5 metres ensure fun for beginners and professionals.

Off you go! Endless sliding – the two giant slides are sensational and make sure a lot of fun and action. Abrupt shift in direction, tight turns and fast linear slopes ensure fast descents.

The extra long slide is over 111 metres long; with various turns and jumps you can enjoy a light-coloured glissade. If you are not afraid of darkness, just enjoy the black hole slide which gives you an extra dose of fun with its light effects.

In place everybody is able to learn swimming – whether in a course, with school or in a workout with family and friends. In the warm water of the non swimmer basin you can practice your swim skills for hours – without fear. After a hard practice, bubbles from the bottom of the basin, allow you to relax and enjoy the massage.

The baby area offers for our youngest visitors a pool with small slides, a timber bridge and other funny water attractions.
